What is Gemini?
Gemini is Google's chat program. It does the same job as ChatGPT: you write a question and an answer comes back. It can take text, a picture, and a voice.
It sits beside Search, Gmail, and Android. That is why people search the word Gemini itself, not only the idea of the program. The name is written in many languages. The meaning does not change.
It opens with your Google account. There is a free side and a paid side. The limit and the model inside can change. A button you saw one week may be gone the next.
Do not take the answer as a search result. It may show no source, or the page it shows may not match the question. A number, a date, and code still need a check.
- On an Android phone and in the browser it opens with the same account.
- It sees a file in Gmail or Drive only when you allow it. You can close that permission.
- You can send a picture and ask what is in it. Check the answer anyway.
- It is comfortable for translation and a short explanation. Do not treat a law or a medical answer as the last word.
- A ChatGPT account does not open Gemini. Each one has its own sign-in.
- If it gives a code sample, run it in your own project and see the mistake yourself.
