How to open a Play Console account
Play Console is the site where you send an app to the store. The address must be play.google.com/console. A similar form on another site should not ask you for money.
You need a Google account. When Console opens, the site shows a one-time payment. The amount is written on that page. The payment does not publish the app. It only opens the account.
After the payment it asks for a name, an address, and a contact. Sometimes it also asks for an identity. The app does not come out the moment the account opens. A signed APK, a privacy address, an icon, and phone pictures are still yours to add.
- If the address is not
play.google.com, do not type the card. - The one-time payment is not repeated for every app. It is for the account.
- If you pay with someone else's account, the app lands in that name.
- If you do not have a finished APK yet, do not rush to open the account.
- The privacy page address has to open. An empty page can hold the app back.
- Take the pictures from the app's own screen. Do not put another app's picture.
An open account does not mean the app is accepted. The signed file and the page are still checked.
