What is an API?
An API is a ready door where one program answers another. You do not write the inside of that program. You send a request to an address and get an answer.
- A request goes out and an answer comes back. The answer is often JSON.
- Weather, exchange rates, and translation are read through doors like this.
- A door that asks for a key needs registration. A door without a key opens directly.
