How do you learn the Arabic letters?
Taking too many letters at once mixes them together. Similar shapes with and without dots are especially easy to swap. Choosing a few letters and both seeing and writing them keeps them longer.
Putting similar letters side by side on the same day shows the difference. Learning them on separate days and never comparing them hides the mistake.
- Take three or four letters at a time.
- Write each letter several times.
- Place a similar pair side by side and name the difference.
- Read yesterday's letters before adding new ones.
